A rare opportunity to run a tough 10k multi-terrain course set in the magnificent grounds of the iconic Englefield House. This private estate is often used in films and the looped circuit including tracks, grass paths, woods, lakes, a short road section and two small hills passes in front of the main house with spectacular views, if you've got time to look.

100% of the money raised goes to charity (this year the Ufton Court educational trust for disadvantaged children) so running numbers won't be sent out beforehand and should be collected from registration on the day.

Unique medal for all finishers plus category medals, chip timing, km markers, water stations, ample free parking, race village, water and refreshments all on site.

Englefield Run 10K reviews

4.3 out of 5 stars

The venue is really scenic and offers a challenging course through the country estate, tackling some hills and a bit of rough terrain. A majority of the course is run on grass, with some parts being on tarmac roads. The organisation was really well thought out and all of the event staff/marshals were fantastic, helpful and enthusiastic. The only problem was the heat. The ran began at 11:00 and it was a scorching hot day. The course offered little-to-no shade and even the most elite runners found it tough. It wasn't the organiser's fault, as they can't control the weather (the previous year had been a wash out so it seems they can't get a break weather-wise). Some other runners complained that maybe the race should have started earlier, but I had arrived at 9am and it was already really hot. The organiser's laid on extra water stations, so were trying their best to combat the heat.
Overall, the event is great but the weather has a big impact on a runner's overall experience.
