Whether you're a complete running novice or this is your 100th ultra, the Zig Zag Challenge is a great opportunity to get moving and see how far you can run.
In this 6-hour event (if 9am start is selected), participants will run as far, or as little, as they want around a 5.3k lapped route through the stunning surroundings of Brandon Country Park.
They will make their way through beautiful expansive fields and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding woodlands.
This easy-to-navigate route through the grounds means runners will be able focus solely on more on their pace and completing as many laps as they can.
Runners will have the choice to run the entire 6 hours, rest between laps at the aid station, or to finish their race before the 3pm end. This race is in complete control of the individual, so remember to take it at your own pace.
You will have 6 hours to complete as many laps as you can, and if you're lucky maybe a little bit more because if you leave the base camp before 5:59:59, you can complete one more lap!

An event attendant will be onsite to help direct cars as they arrive. Please note that parking is at an additional cost to participants.
By Car
Follow the M11 and turn onto the A11, then continue past Newmarket and follow the A1065 to arrive at Brandon Country Park after turning off on Rattler's Road and taking the first right on the B1106.

Race Packs
Race bibs will be collected on the day from registration.
Age Restrictions
All entrants must be 18 and older to enter the event.
Water/Aid Station
There will be a water/aid station at Race HQ, which will be situated at the start and lap point of the route.
Bag Drop
There will be a space for runners to leave their bags and belongings, however they are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables. It is advised by the organiser to leave your belongings in your car, keeping valuables out of sight.
Lucky Dip Medal
The lucky dip medal gives runners a chance of receiving a previous Zig Zag Events medal for a slightly reduced cost. This can be chosen when registering and ensures a little surprise on event day.
Wave Start Times
You can choose the wave start time you would like when booking. If you start at 9 am you will have 6 hours. If starting at 11 am you will have 4 hours.
Cupless Event
Please note the event has gone cupless, so please bring your own water bottle to the event.

Affiliated runners will be associated with EA/UKA club and will have their own EA/UKA number.
How long does the Fancy Dress Frolic last?
The event will last 6 hours in total for those who select wave 1. For those who select wave 2, it will be 4 hours long.
Is bag drop available at the Fancy Dress Frolic?
Yes, there will be a space for runners to leave their bags and belongings, however they are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables. It is advised by the organiser to leave your belongings in your car, keeping valuables out of sight.
