The Frome Half Marathon route gives runners a beautiful route around residential areas before heading to the buzz of the city centre. The route, and multiple distances on offer, makes this event great for new runners wanting to try out a new distance or those shooting for a personal best.
The Half Marathon single loop course takes runners past joyful residents ready to offer a helping hand, and welcome treats.
From here, it's onto quiet country lanes towarsd Nunney Village, showcasing real country charm with thatched roofs, old phone boxes, and a fuel station.
Onto the final section of the course, runners are taken into Frome Town Centre, with an infamous 1k climb up Egford Hill, taking runners to the peak of their route. From here, the views follow runners as they race down the hill into the heart of Frome and across the finish line.

Another great event thank you. A special thanks to the Marshall’s. Only two things to improve please- the tannoy was so loud we couldn’t hear ourselves talking - the finish line queue to collect your medals was nearly over the finish line. Will defo sign up again.

A bit hillier than I am used to, although we were warned about the 'King of the Mountain' climb. Very well organised, plenty of water points, spectators and marshals.

Second year running this race.. it’s a brutal course in term of hills but it’s such a pleasant one.. local support is great, loads of water stations, cheap to enter, easy to get to, easy to park. What’s not to love ..apart from the fact it needs at least one toilet en route somewhere ... sadly lacking in this department. Will be back next year

The signs showing the way to the car park on the approach to the event were great. The car park was well organised and the volunteers guided you to the start of the event. Plenty of marshals available throughout the course.Well organised, lots of water stations available. The support form local residents was excellent, and the hosepipes beneficial as it was getting warm..Although there was a queue for the medals and goody bag which was starting to tailback and impact on the finishing line.

Hilly but enjoyable run, well supported by town's folk! Given the heat, starting at 10am was great. Would run again.

Very good race, really friendly atmosphere among the runners and supporters. Incredible route out in the country side, very different to most half marathons that are organised in cities. Very hilly course, so not a quick run but still very enjoyable if taking it at a slower pace.
