Holyrood Park 5k/10k/Half Marathon - November 2026

Run around Arthur’s Seat in the heart of Edinburgh on one of Scotland’s most spectacular running routes.

Join us at Holyrood Park for a 5K, 10K or Half Marathon, taking on a stunning loop around Arthur’s Seat, one of Edinburgh’s most recognisable landmarks.

Set right in the heart of the capital, Holyrood Park offers a running experience unlike anywhere else on our calendar. With closed roads, sweeping views across Edinburgh and the dramatic landscape of Arthur’s Seat surrounding the course, this is an opportunity to experience one of Scotland’s most famous locations on foot.

The route follows the roads around Arthur’s Seat, taking runners through a mixture of flowing sections, challenging climbs and rewarding descents. With breathtaking views across the city and surrounding hills, there’s plenty to enjoy along the way, even when the legs start to feel it.

Whether you’re taking on your first 5K, looking for a challenging 10K or tackling the Half Marathon, Holyrood Park offers something for runners of all abilities. It might not be the flattest course on our calendar, but it’s certainly one of the most memorable.

And with the roads closed to traffic, runners can enjoy the full experience of running around Arthur’s Seat without having to worry about vehicles.

As always, expect chip timing, friendly marshals, free race photography, a bespoke finisher medal, post-race goodies and the welcoming atmosphere that comes with every Up and Running Events race day.
