Route information
The route has 4 stages between 21-31 km, and a ‘Rest Stop’ at the end of each – with food & drink, medical teams and toilets. Between these, there are additional ‘Mid Point Stops’ with snacks, drinks, toilets, & medical support.
This challenge has something for everyone and those who wish to take part but not take on the full challenge can do half or quarter challenges; either on Sat 2nd May or Sun 3rd May.
The Half Challenge is either 52KM on the 2nd or 54KM on the 3rd.
The Quarter Challenge is 25KM in distance on both days.
If completing the whole challenge, you can choose from 3 waves:
WALK:
Full Island 106km – Sat to Sun:
A continuous walk around the Island. Saturday morning start, on through day & night for a Sunday finish. Most participants will be on this epic challenge.
- Times: Chale start Sat 5 May, 7.00 – 10.00am
- Route: Chale start /finish – clockwise around Island.
- Target Time: 20 – 33 hours.
JOG:
Full Island 106km – Sat to Sun:
A continuous jog around the Island. Saturday morning start, on through day & night for a Sunday finish. Most participants will be on this epic challenge.
- Times: Chale start Sat 5 May, 7.00 – 10.00am
- Route: Chale start /finish – clockwise around Island.
- Target Time: 16 – 20 hours.
RUN:
Full Island 106km – Sat to Sun:
A continuous run around the Island. Saturday start and finish.
- Times: Chale start Sat 5 May, 7am
- Route: Chale start /finish – clockwise around Island.
- Target Time: 9 – 14 hours.

Is there a certain level of fitness required?
With Full, Half, and Quarter Challenge options available this truly is an event catered to all abilities and you can walk, jog or run at your own pace.
What kind of pre-event support is there?
All participants will be sent out videos on advice for training and be invited to online forums where you can interact with fellow challengers. There will also be a challenge APP to help you prepare.
Do I need certain kit?
All kit requirements will be sent out in the build up to the event.
