Peak Runners
Hello, I'm David the founder of Peakrunners. Along with my wife Amanda we organise running events throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire and beyond. I originally started out in martial arts, where I trained intensively to get myself up to a high competitive level. I competed in full contact kickboxing / mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jujitsu. After gaining my 5th degree blackbelt and successfully running my own mixed martial arts academy, I decided to make the hard choice and close my academy, and follow my dreams of becoming an endurance athlete. My journey began in 2011 when I entered my first endurance race; The Hell on the Humber, a 12hr night run up and down the Humber Bridge. I shortly followed this up with many more 12hr and 24hr events and soon turned my focus into the world of ultrarunning. I've since gone on to compete in many more ultras here in the UK as well as in Europe, including an 8th place finish in the Spine. My focus is to become the best I can be in trail running. And to be honest, my life doesn't have a finish line, as my goals in my life are set very high.

Fantastic Fell race, first one I have done. Couldn't get lost as lots of marshalls on route, thanks to all of them. Beautiful scenery, tough challenging route but loved it. Well organised, good facilities at start, a little conjested for parking but managed, great race.

Really enjoyable course, clearly marshalled, great views, challenging in parts but absolutely fine for a novice runner like me.

Beautiful scenic route with supportive marshals . My first off road run, found it quite hard but enjoyable ! No water en route which didn't bother me and better for the environment but some may want to carry some as they did. (It was available at the start and finish) No mile markers but again on this occasion didn't bother me as I just wanted to complete the course! I would have preferred to have a time but no big deal! It was a great morning

Hard climb but a gorgeous route, with a really friendly group. Marked well, stewarded, good coffee and cake. A great Saturday morning. Will do again.

A brilliant multi terrain course that had something for everyone. Keep up the good work and I may try the longer one next year if the legs hold out.

Excellent route on challenging terrain. Plenty of hills, woodland paths and rocky trails to navigate.
