Back for a fourth year, starting from the beautiful village of Langsett situated on the edge of the Peak District national park. This is a super fast technical route.

The race will twist and wind you through some beautiful forest hard packed trails, followed by some nice climbs with a fantastic downhill to the finish. The course is fully marked and marshalled so no need for navigation.

Peak Runners
Hello, I'm David the founder of Peakrunners. Along with my wife Amanda we organise running events throughout Yorkshire, Derbyshire and beyond. I originally started out in martial arts, where I trained intensively to get myself up to a high competitive level. I competed in full contact kickboxing / mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jujitsu. After gaining my 5th degree blackbelt and successfully running my own mixed martial arts academy, I decided to make the hard choice and close my academy, and follow my dreams of becoming an endurance athlete. My journey began in 2011 when I entered my first endurance race; The Hell on the Humber, a 12hr night run up and down the Humber Bridge. I shortly followed this up with many more 12hr and 24hr events and soon turned my focus into the world of ultrarunning. I've since gone on to compete in many more ultras here in the UK as well as in Europe, including an 8th place finish in the Spine. My focus is to become the best I can be in trail running. And to be honest, my life doesn't have a finish line, as my goals in my life are set very high.

A really good race and lovely scenic route. I thoroughly loved it ! Well organised as well. Everyone was friendly. One of my favourite races.

Lovely route and well thought out course, really liked the main hill climbing done and dusted by mile 5. Signage good.Slight mercenary note but the website both this and the event page list you got a free mug and buff. Neither we given out or there, so false advertising/ misleading by Letsdothis and Peak Runners will probably stop me entering via Letsdothis in future or Peak Runners as the entrance fee of 25 is a bit steep. But enjoyed the day just needs to sort its marketing out a lot.

Awesome event, weather helped as was perfect running weather and everyone was friendly and encouraging. Was our 1st fall run and was challenging yet achievable.
