Route information
This event is a must for any keen winter trail runner. All 3 distances will take in beautiful surroundings as the event is set in lovely countryside. Runners will take on a variety of terrains, including:
- Woodland trails
- Muddy paths
- Private estate roads
- Grassy fields
- Tricky hills
This makes for a challenging, but fun event for runners of a variety of abilities. You will be sure to enjoy this perfect setting for a winter trail run and the wonderful atmosphere at the race.

Get full directionsBy Car
The event is based 4 miles north west of Reading, easily accessible from the M4. Follow event car parking signage on the day from the A4074 (Caversham to Oxford Rd) at the Pack Saddle Pub.
Parking
Free parking will be available with a requested donation of £2 to the Teenage Wilderness Trust. Parking will be 400m from the race start.
By Train
Reading Station gives the best accessibility to the race venue, approximately 4 miles away.

Registration
Race numbers will not be posted out before the race, they must be collected from registration on the day of the event. Please bring your email confirmation with you (on your phone is fine).
Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop at the event. The onsite parking is just 400m from the race start so it is recommended to leave your possessions in your car.
Age Restrictions
- 10k participants must be 13 years or older.
- Half Marathon and 10 mile participants must be 16 years or older.
Cut off times
There is a 2 hour 30 minute cut off time for this event.
Dogs
You can run with your dog, as long as your dog is on a short lead.
Sports Massage
Post race sports massages will be on offer at the finish line. They will cost £10 for 15 minutes.
iTAB Medal Attachment
The iTAB engraved with your name and finish time will be sent out a few days after the event.
Spectator Info
Spectators are not encouraged to attend due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation.

Yes, 13 is the minimum age for the 10k and 16 for the 10 mile and half marathon.

The cut-off time for both events is 2 and a half hours.
Will there be drinks stations at the Mapledurham Half Marathon, 10 mile and 10k?
There will be no drink stations on the course, but there will be a limited supply of water and cups at the finish line.
Are we able to bring our dogs to the Mapledurham 10 mile and 10k?
This is a dog-friendly event but dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.

There won't be a bag drop, however the onsite parking is situated 400m from the start line.
