Route information
If you are looking to kick start your 2023 season the right way then look no further. This event is now in its fourth edition, attracting over 1000 runners in previous years.
The New Forest ½ Marathon - Hinton Admiral Estate is an amazing early-season trail running event set in the exclusive Hinton Admiral Estate in the New Forest National Park which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. UK Running Events have been given unique access to this unspoilt private estate. This special treat will allow runners to run through parts of the estate that have never been open to the public before. These untouched parts of the New Forest are as nature intended them to be, with the magnificent scenery your senses will not be able to take in the sheer beauty surrounding you as you run.
The New Forest has been voted the best National Park in Europe and 10th in the world. It ranked higher than the Grand Canyon.
The route has it all, spectacular tree-lined paths, trails surrounded by beautiful vibrant coloured bracken and hard-packed gravel pathways. The route weaves through impressive ancient forests and untouched secret heathlands where you may encounter deer roaming free and grazing on the side of the trails.
The flat profile of the route makes it a perfect early-season event. The route can be described as relatively flat with only 106m of elevation gain over the full 1/2 marathon route. Perfect for your early season legs!
What better place to experience trail running. Regardless of experience or ability, we actively encourage new runners to our events and have 3 route lengths to choose from: 1/2 Marathon (21k), Standard (15k) and Short (10k).

Race was okay, beautiful course but atmosphere was a bit bland. Finish was quite disorganised. In the event pack, podium finishers were told not to leave the area immediately. I came third and the three of us hung around for a while and asked a marshall if they were taking a picture of anything but no one really knew so we just left.

To be pedantic the 10k course was several hundred metres over distance - It would be nice if you apologise to me legs for making them go round the field at the end!

I didn't recieve a race pack or provided with a timing chip. However, the marshals were excellent and I really enjoyed the course

Apart from being partially sighted and losing my way due to poor signage/large enough markings, I thoroughly enjoyed the race.If I could suggest 1ft. High markings/arrows. I did get confused seeing pink and white ribbons together on my way through the race.

Was a great day. The marshals helping to push vehicles out of the mud at the end, including mine, were fantastic. Very willing and good humoured.

Marshall’s to help road crossing from car park near cricket pavilion would be good. A very dangerous road to cross.

Beautiful nature, Easy access, good atmosphere. We were lucky with the weather as it did not rain during the race, but we had plenty of mud which was part of the experience!

A real tough event mainly due to the mud which made every step harder. Well organised though and good atmosphere 👌
