the course was not as expected - certainly not a trail as advertised. the start was very congested and we then ran through long grass in fields. the ground was very undulating and i went over on my ankle - the new forest has hundreds of miles of bona fide trails - why couldnt the race have been on them?

Some of the single track was frustrating because I got stuck behind slower runners from different races. Other than that the course was fantastic. A friend of mine did the 10k which ended up being 12k. There was no mention of the muck up or apology for the course error. When he enquired he was told it was owing to a fallen tree - I find this very hard to believe. It's a shame that someone would lie rather than admit a signage error. A 20% increase in distance without warning is a significant mess-up. If it were a tree, which I don't believe it was. Then a) why was the detour 2km long, was it a 1000m tall tree? b) why weren't runners advised on the start line that the race was 2k further owing to a fallen tree? That kind of response to an organisational error only compounds the issue, and further damages entrants opinions.

The course is a little shorter than a haif marathon distance, they may want to make it the correct distance

Not enough water at the end - being told only to take a little water after a half-marathon wasn’t great. Would have been nice to have mile or km markers. Course very well sign-posted.

I didn’t to the London Marathon. The link I was sent took me to the wrong race, with no opportunity to change it.

The race was very well organised apart from the fact that on one of the course splits, the 10km and the 14km were not signposted, so I ended up doing and extra 2km. Race start and race end very well organised.

Thank you for this event. Car park was excellent as was all signage for the event. Cannot fault anything. Beautiful course. The only problem was people had sped off too fast and then in the last half of the course walked blocking the narrow paths and bottlenecks. Having really tried to work on my times this was so annoying. I couldn’t over take and they had no awareness. May be a word on etiquette would be appropriate and a heads up re bottlenecks? Thanks again.

New Forest off road half marathon (not London but the drop down box wouldn't give me the option). I enjoyed the course, it was quite varied however I would have liked more sections running through the actual forest rather than the edges of fields. It was a very warm day, I had water with me in a bladder so was okay however my wife did not and struggled to stay hydrated as the water points were few and far between.

Hinton admiral new forest half marathon: it was difficult at the end merging in with the 10k and 14k runners. Slightly slower runners were difficult to pass where the faster half marathons were finishing at the same time. Might be worth changing times to facilitate this. Otherwise great race.

Very poorly organised. 10k turned out to be 12k. Route was poorly marked and difficult to follow at times. Distinct lack of marshals (surely this is what we’re paying for). 10k runners caught up with the 14k runners, but then it was difficult to overtake due to narrow paths in the woods. Some of the route was quite nice, but the beginning part was just running around fields.
