About
Halloween is coming to Pollok Park.
Join us on Sunday 1st November for a Halloween-themed 5K & 10K through the woodland paths of Glasgow’s largest park.
With autumn in full swing, Pollok Park provides the perfect setting for it. Expect winding woodland paths, fallen leaves, rolling parkland and a few spooky surprises along the way as we give our usual race day a Halloween twist.
And yes, fancy dress is absolutely encouraged. Whether you go all out or just add something spooky to your running kit, we’d love to see as many runners as possible getting involved. We’ll also have a Halloween-themed medal waiting for you at the finish line.
Choose from the 5K or 10K and run it your way. Chase a time, take on your first race, or get a group of friends together, dress up and enjoy something a little different.
Expect chip timing, free race photography, post-race goodies, music and the friendly atmosphere you can expect from an Up and Running Events race day.
Costumes on. Running shoes laced. See you in the woods.

Route information
The Pollok Park course follows a scenic 5km loop through the heart of Glasgow’s largest park.
The route takes runners through a mixture of woodland paths and open parkland, with gentle rolling inclines and plenty of autumn scenery along the way. At this time of year, expect tree-lined paths, fallen leaves and the perfect setting for our Halloween-themed race day.
The 5K completes one full loop of the course, while the 10K completes two laps. Runners taking on the 10K will be responsible for keeping track of their own lap count.
The course will be fully marked with kilometre markers, directional arrows and marshals throughout.

Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop located in the event village. Please consider limiting the number of belongings you have with you on race day. The bag drop will open at 8:30.
Toilets
There will be portable toilets on the edge of the race village, very close to the start/finish area.
Water Station
There will be a water station at the halfway point of the loop, therefore runners participating in the 5k will pass this once and twice for those in the 10k.
Finish Line
Athletes are encouraged to keep moving through the finish area to make way for their fellow finishers and to collect their post-race goodies.
