Welcome to the famous Richmond RUNFEST. Both routes will start at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, with runners passing a variety of stunning architecture and scenery along the way. Runners will catch sight of Kew Gardens very own The Pagoda, a tall building of Chinoiserie style. The course then passes the striking Syon House and then over Richmond Lock. Here the terrain changes from natural paths to the Thames towpath, while still remaining incredibly flat.
The course will end with a fantastic festival finish with live music in Old Deer Park.
Both courses are incredibly flat meaning runners can spend less energy on climbing hills and sweeping descents, and more effort on appreciating the surrounding sights and scenery.

Overall the event was well organised. The path along the river was dangerous. Many runners had a fall- Marshals could have been placed to make runners aware or some form of plan to avoid this known risk.

To be honest no, the worst of it being having to walk 2 miles to get the car after doing the marathon wasn't the greatest

Not much cheering during the race. I regretted not having my headsets with music. Kew route is has too much turns and start and finish in different places making it difficult choice where to park the car. Over than that wonderful course along the river and very good organization and a beautiful medal and post race package

Great course due to the views and flat terrain, but don’t think it was value for money and support was low
