Great route, paid £25 and there was hardly any toilets, and the medal is a flimsy thing. Would have been better if it was a TShirt instead

Bamburgh 10k was an enjoyable race but surprisingly challenging! The course felt very undulating with lots of little inclines without much reprieve. Starting from the castle and heading out onto country roads you do a loop around some fields and then the finish line is plonked on a road just before the village (with no real finish line crowd). Organisation was a bit haphazard and there were no spectators outside of the village beyond the marshalls. Still, was an enjoyable experience running with the castle as your backdrop and the race itself wasn't overly crowded so you weren't jostling for space, just beware of those sneaky hills.

Only issue I had was the toilets were a bit lacking. Long queue beforehand made registration stressful and they closed pretty soon after the race end. I was turned away before I set off home.
