About
Set in the beautiful grounds of Deene Park, this multi-distance trail weekend is a fantastic addition to the Spring running calendar. The festival consists of 3 separate running challenges that can be done as standalone events, or combined together as 'The Quest for the Golden Carrot' - so there's something for everyone! Route information
Start/Finish
All races start and finish at: Deene Park, Deene, Corby, Northamptonshire. NN17 3EW.
Trail Mix Challenge
You’ll do a different 5k course on the hour every hour for five hours. 25k sounds like a lot of running... But broken down into five chunks, with time to rest and make sure that you are nourished and hydrated, it is manageable for most runners that have completed 5k and 10k races previously.
Headlight Hop 10k
This is a twilight 10k event. It contains wonderful rolling hills and seriously beautiful views across the estate. The route snakes along multi-terrain tracks across farmland and in and out of woodland sections.
Thump Trail Half
This two lap route will provide an interesting challenge whether it’s your first half, you’re accustomed to road, or you’re a seasoned marathoner – it is a testing, rolling route that you’ll love!
The Quest for the Golden Carrot
If you are up for a serious challenge, then 'The Quest' is for you. Complete all 3 events totalling 56.1km over the 24 hour period, and the exclusive quest bling is yours.
For the elites, the top 6 males and females (lowest cumulative time) will then qualify for the Carrot Dash. This is a ‘winner-takes-all’ 1 mile race to win one of two exclusive Golden Carrot trophies.
