Even though I disliked doing loops the course was tough enough to make it enjoyable. The atmosphere wasn't great but that was probably because it was freezing. The water station was poorly manned, you had to stop to get the water and then fight to open the top.I would do it again and hopefully do it injury free.

Thoroughly enjoyed the event. Well marshalled, very friendly, plenty of loos (i.e. the Heaton Park ones), free photos via Facebook, decent post race snackage (flapjack, 'nana, squirty peanut butter), easy to get to and from. A nice number of people; it wasn't too busy so you were never on people's heels. Ideal. It was a cold and windy day which made it exciting. And that hill up to Heaton Hall made me want to stop and cry a little more on each lap... but all-in-all a smashing day. Thanks

Great course. 4 (and a bit) Laps of the 5k course. Includes a testing hill that Im sure gets steeper on every lap. All tarmac except for a small muddy section of path and huge puddles that needed to be navigated carefully. Well marshalled. One water stop on course - not well managed (one person serving) though. Wasnt any toilets on the course. Mileage markers were a waste of time. Course measures about 500m short. Medal was very average (same for 5k, 10k & half). Piece of flapjack, banana and water at the end. Difficult to park nearby. You pick up your race number on the day. Nobody fills out the reverse side contact details because no pens. I would do it again though.

Despite the cold the wind and the Heaton Hill what an amazing day thank u team for creating a really special memory for me i conquered the hill and survived

Enjoyed the course with the challenging conditions. Would recommend this for runner who like to challenge themselves on the next level.

Was very well organised. It was a good course which I felt was more of a fat burner run with the hills going up and down all the way through. There is 1 big hill which is really tough to run up, but it was a good challenge.
Did the 5k in 2019
Race and venue were fantastic apart from the hilly bits I really enjoyed the whole race. I would definitely do it again

My first half marathon really enjoyed it great event with great organisation. Would recommend if wanting to do a half marathon !
Did the 10k in 2019
The course is a challenging hilly one with some trail like areas, especially in bad weather like we experienced this year but the marshalls are fantastic and the busy nature of the park means there are a lot of people out already who add to the supporters!
Did the 10k in 2019
The course was tough, with an horrendous hill which you have to face twice as the event is based on laps (i.e. 1x5k, 2x10k & 4xHM). However, it was fairly well organised and efficient. Started on time and I enjoyed it.
