This is an open road course and pretty suburban. Expect to give way to buses and other conflicting road traffic; ditto on the pavements of Wimbledon running next to busy roads (prams, tourists and general pavement clutter). If you get isolated then it’s not cool at all. No support to speak of other than the stewards (who were nice).

A smaller number of runners than many events, but this made it a lot more personal, friendly and enjoyable.

So easy to register, and to sign in on the day. Great atmosphere for a small race - really appreciated the team members cheering us on along the route. That hill though..!

I actually meant to do the half marathon, but I opted for the 10k finish mid race because I wasn't enjoying it. The route goes through a lot of roads with cars on. Some of the roads are marshalled with the cars stopping, but others you have to either wait for cars or speed up to try and cross the road before they get there. At one point a bus pulled out in front of me and I had to wait. A runner behind me shouted at the fact I'd let it go down the road. Not a safe race for speedy running. The route is okay, a lot of residential streets.

All in all I enjoyed the run. The weather was not great and there were a few organisational issues though. Half way through the race I went straight instead of taking a left. Signage was poor and there was no Marshall. After about 5 mins of running I realised I was on the wrong track and went back. This added at least 10 mins onto my time and caused a lot of frustration.

I really enjoyed the race was a bit disappointed that the course according to garmin and strava was a little short - which meant i didnt get a half marathon time. Other than the above issue really enjoyed event.

It was raining on arrival know where to stand that was covered over and dry so we were freezing before we started. Bag drop was awful it was a plastic sheet on the ground so my dry jumper for after was soaked my bag is ruined.....I was driven into by a car on the high street I fell nto the road!!!!!! People were annoyed that we were running along the high street which was awful people didn't move cars didn't give way it was actually horrible...The Marshall's were great....The course stated it was flat!!!!! There was a big hill that we had to do twice I've run many a half and full marathon and your course details I felt were not accurate....There was no one to hand out or show you drinks at the finish line it was sad really ...I did this to raise money for a child I care for with Battens disease I trained hard and I found this very disappointing..I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.Sorry

I expected it to be chilly, but the weather conditions were atrocious, with rain, whipping wind and icy cold dialing down the turnout to about 400. It improved as the race went on but the damage had already been done, and I was running in too many layers of damp clothes. I'd keep an eye on the forecast at this time of the year and adjust your arrival accordingly. We got there too early for what wasn't a very crowded registration desk and had to huddle under a tent for too long.None of this is the organisers' fault, of course! But one area they could improve on is getting the race length right! I'd read a review that suggested the half-marathon was 300 metres short, and so it turned out to be. Not sure why they couldn't have added a loop on; I'd have felt better about my PB!The double loop is a tough one, with an irregular climb to the end to compensate for the long drop at the beginning. It knocked the stuffing out of me after a too-fast first loop egged on by the pace of the 10k runners.

The half marathon and 10k set off together and run one lap together. The half-marathoners are then split off to do another lap and a bit. Unfortunately, the total course of the half marathon was just under 13 miles, so definitely not a half marathon. It is a shame to pay to do an event and get 'short changed' (hence my 2* for organisation). The course itself was a suburban route, with road crossings that were unmanned (and roads not closed). As there were very few people in the

Excellent...Although I would have preferred not just doubling up on the 10 km route...their are so many great routes to take around Wimbledon and the Common. In saying that, it was a great run, with plenty of challenges to keep us occupied

This run was very average, definitely not one i'd do again, many of the marshals weren't particularity motivating or supportive, not a very inspiring route and they didn't have traffic control measures in place. I did however appreciate the guy at the start of the race who was trying his best to motivate everyone in such poor weather conditions, thank you to that guy!

A lot of people complained about the course being 300-400 meters too short which, I guess, happened because everybody were taking shortcuts while running through the residential areas since there were no fences to indicate the exact route. In case of bad weather there were no shelters, including baggage drop facility which was completely uncovered.

I think the course was quite unsafe considering that the roads weren't closed and that you constantly had to be thinking about chcking for oncoming traffic/pedestrians which is something that is really hard to do when you're tired from running and I think there could easily have been an accident/collision considering how many roads we had to cross. I also don't think the course was laid our that well and often I could only tell where to go by following those in front- more signage would have been helpful. I also don't think the marshalls were overally alert in ehlping to cross roads safely. I generally think that when taking part in a race, you shouldn't need to be thinking about the course/where to be running etc. while racing. That should just be well planned out ahead of time so that you can just turn up on the day and run.

No changing rooms even though it said there would be some (the open-air back of a truck IS NOT a changing room). Nowhere to take shelter from the rain before the race. And no cover for the left bags area! I mean you are organising a open-air race in the UK end of October, you could expect some rain. Would be great to have at least a tent or something like that to shelter the bags. My post-race change was completely wet for being under the rain for almost 2 hours.

That there was no shelter on such a miserable day, those arriving by car at least could sit in their car, but those on public transport were left waiting in miserable weather conditions with no shelter whatsoever

Actually ran it in April 2018 but the year isn't available in the drop-down. Nearly missed the start due to the long queue for not enough toilets; course is on pavement and open roads (so be careful); got a good time but poor goodie bag (apart from the medal) and not quite worth the money (which incidentally I wonder what it really covers, not even a finisher tee). I run on these roads weekly for free and don't see the point in paying again for that.

great race and the course was okay got a little frustrated at the end having to do that last part 3 times. but I really enjoyed the challenge posed by the steep incline, towards the approach to Wimbledon town. some intersections however seemed more dangerous than others with portions where I was required to stop for the cars.

This was a great race - hills hurt but really nice residential course. Easy admin at arrival and parking etc. Marshalls good (some really encouraging) I got a PB blessed with prefect weather at last HOWEVER... my watch measured the course at 12.8 miles not 13.1 (I didnt want to not log a half so I ran on once Id received my medal to make up the 0.3 miles. I fear that the course was a bit short...
