Terrain rough underfoot, rock, and scree-covered
Route Type Point to point
This is very challenging skyrunning with considerable height gain, great variability in the terrain including river crossings, and an airy traverse of one of Scotland’s most famous ridges, the Càrn Mòr Dearg Arête, leading to the summit of Ben Nevis.
In-between the mountains, the route follows a mixture of ancient established paths, glen paths and forest tracks; many of which are the type of superb single track that trail-runners dream of!
