Join us for the Southampton Running Festival on Sunday 8th August 2027!

Enjoy a summer race day in the heart of the city, starting and finishing on the picturesque Southampton Common. The route takes runners through woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes and open parkland, offering scenic surroundings and excellent PB potential.

As a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, Southampton Common creates a distinctive setting for runners, walkers and wildlife enthusiasts.

Beginning and ending in the picturesque Southampton Common. It’s the perfect route for a PB featuring woodland, grassland, ponds, wetlands, lakes and parkland in the well used green open space in the centre of the city.

PARKING/TRAVEL

There is limited parking at the common, please arrive early to guarantee a spot. There is also plenty of street parking on the surrounding roads.

BAGGAGE

We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.

TOILETS

There will be portable toilets available within the event village. These will also be easily accessible while on the route.

REFRESHMENTS

There will be water provided for each lap of the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.

RESULTS

Results will be available here immediately after the race.
