Route information
The course will take place in some of the most awe-inspiring countryside between Winchester and Eastbourne. Runners will be treated to picturesque villages, stunning wildlife and visible prehistory. Run along the South Downs way, this event is perfect for those wanting to experience the very best scenery the UK has to offer or for those training for longer Ultra Events.
The course will be signposted by the clear South Downs Way markings but runners should familiarise themselves with the route beforehand.

Address: Chilcomb Sports Ground, Petersfield Rd, Winchester SO21 1HU.
Winchester Station is the nearest train station to the start, which is available by trains from London, Waterloo and Southhampton.
Bus transport from the train station to the start location will be provided from 8:00am on Day 1.
If you wish to drive, car parking is available.
If you wish to leave your car at the finish line, there is free car parking on the streets around St. Andrew's Prep Meads Street, BN20 7RP which is the finish location.
After parking your car, there is a shuttle available for £30 back to the start. However, this may not be enough time to get the walkers to the start by the start time, so they would have to start with the runners.

8:00am: Registration opens at Chilcomb Sports Ground, Petersfield Rd, Winchester SO21HU
9:30am: Walkers begin
10:00am & 10:30am: Runners begin
Friday Finish location: Elsted Village Hall GU29 0JY
Bus transport to overnight location - Midhurst Rother College, North Street, Midhurst, GU29 9DT 
Day 2: Saturday
Start Location: Hilltop Car Park, south of Cocking GU29 0HT (Bus transport provided)
Finish Location: Clayton Village Hall, BN6 9PJ,
Bus transport to overnight location - Patcham High School, Ladies Mile Road, Brighton, BN1 8PB
Day 3 Sunday:
Start Location: Ditchling Beacon BN6 8XD (Bus transport provided)
Finish Location: St Andrew’s Prep School, Meads Street, Eastbourne BN20 7RP.
ACCOMMODATION
Everything is taken care of at the Devil's Challenge so you can focus on just running. Overnight accommodation, evening meals, showers & breakfast as well as evening speakers.

Spectators are welcome. The best place to view the runners will be at the checkpoints. Please note, spectators will need to make their own way to the checkpoints.

How frequent are the aid stations?
Every 6-10 miles, there will be an aid station that has water as well as other snacks.

There will be a full medical team, course manager, and an event crew trained in first aid supporting all participants throughout the event.

The first male and female winners will receive a prize as well as male and female age groups.

Are bags transported for us during the day?
When competitors have finished with their bags at the start and subsequent mornings, they will be loaded onto a van and transported to the day's finish. One bag per competitor.
