Always Aim High Events was founded in 2010 by Tim Lloyd and Nigel 'Kenny' Kendrick. The first event was the now iconic Slateman Triathlon 2011 attracting just over 400 competitors (it now regularly exceeds 1,000), with a vision that included the Snowman and Sandman - the three events which now make up the Adventure Triathlon Series. From that one event we now host 34 all inclusive events over 9 weekends, with many more planned for 2019 and beyond. In 2015 Always Aim High Community Events was set up as a not for profit organisation to help with engaging with and hosting local community events. At Always Aim High we are extremely proud about delivering the UK's ultimate triathlon, cycling, running and swimming challenges in the most beautiful and iconic locations that we can find. From epic mountain, coastal and city triathlons, to breathtaking cycle sportives which cover the length and bredth of Snowdonia, there's something for everyone at Always Aim High Events!

Ran my first Anglesey Half back in 2017 with some friends. Now the weather wasn’t great but in all honesty it didn’t make any difference whatsoever! Stunning course, amazing scenery and a quick course too! I’ve run 18 Half’s and this is still the seconds fastest I’ve ever run a Half Marathon. The start on Menai Bridge really is something else too. Couldn’t recommend this higher as a ‘must do’! You won’t regret it!..........Roll on my second attempt in a few weeks :)

I have run this half marathon twice, 2nd time with a pb. It's a stunning start on the Menai bridge with a steep downhill start which levels out into one of my favourite half marathon courses. Highly recommended.

Way back in 2017, I ran this event with 3 mates and it was absolutely superb! The rain came down from start to finish and at one point I could have done with a canoe rather than a pair of running shoes but it still couldn't take the shine off a brilliant day. The course is amazing with stunning views as you run down towards Beaumaris before coming back on yourself to a heroes welcome back in Menai Bridge. There were loads of spots out on the course as well for my partner and my 2 little uns to cheer us on - they made painted signs with "Go Daddy Go!" written all over them! One of the best things in the world ever, FACT! I had other runners asking me if I was Daddy and telling me to "Go, Daddy Go!!" - and to top it all I ran my fastest ever half marathon! The support from the crowd and the volunteers was awesome and I was so chuffed when I crossed that line. There was loads of food at the feed stations throughout the course too - although it was a shame to see so many cups in the bins back then. The t-shirt and medal were brilliant too, I even got a massive bag of crisps which is always a winner!

Without a doubt a day I will never forget and an achievement that will stay with me forever

Sole representative for Widnes Running Club - parking was easy to find & bag drop/collection quick & easy. Really pleasant route (even with the horrid weather!) & enjoyed the profile of the course. Marshals were great & race was really well organised overall. Have already recommended it to several & will definitely return in the future, 10/10!

Loved the event - though first mile or so the route was too cramped on narrow lane.Splitting hairs - but better to keep moving immediately after finish where drinks and oranges welcome but slowish queue

One of my favourite races. Well organised. The only thing I would change is to have an earlier prize giving as it's too cold to be waiting around gor a couple of hours after

The race is fantastic but what sets this apart is how good it is for spectators. This is one of the few races my wife will support me on because of how good the app and timing system is so she knows where I am on the course and doesnt have to spend time hanging around in the cold waiting for me to come in. Ive been given a number of other always aim higher events as gifts because of how much we both enjoyed the 2018 race.

My first time taking part in this event and out of nearly 50 half marathons I think Imhave a new favourite. A wet day but a lovely course and on a clear day the views must be amazing. The atmosphere was probably a little damped by the rain so a extra big thank you to the volunteers who were out there and also the spectators providing support - much appreciated.I have already signed up for next year
