Always Aim High Events was founded in 2010 by Tim Lloyd and Nigel 'Kenny' Kendrick. The first event was the now iconic Slateman Triathlon 2011 attracting just over 400 competitors (it now regularly exceeds 1,000), with a vision that included the Snowman and Sandman - the three events which now make up the Adventure Triathlon Series. From that one event we now host 34 all inclusive events over 9 weekends, with many more planned for 2019 and beyond. In 2015 Always Aim High Community Events was set up as a not for profit organisation to help with engaging with and hosting local community events. At Always Aim High we are extremely proud about delivering the UK's ultimate triathlon, cycling, running and swimming challenges in the most beautiful and iconic locations that we can find. From epic mountain, coastal and city triathlons, to breathtaking cycle sportives which cover the length and bredth of Snowdonia, there's something for everyone at Always Aim High Events!
Spectators are strongly encouraged to come along and create a great race day atmosphere.

The race was well organised and the volunteers were so helpful. The views are stunning and course support good. I would have preferred a medal rather than a coaster though particularly as I was with people who were completing their first event. A great race though. I would do it again.

Loved the start on the Menai bridge, well organised, plenty of marshalls, good pre race briefing in English and Welsh. Well signed undulating course, stunning scenery and for the most part the roads are traffic free. Good support from spectators along the course. Plenty of goodies at the finish, prompt presentation and plenty of prize’s.

I would have loved a medal at the end a lot of people were disappointed we didn't get one and it makes a difference to have something tangible for the runners

Such a beautiful course. It’s easy to park and get to the start. They are very well organised and the course is well signed and there are plenty of marshals along the way. The scenery is great and makes the run pass quickly. Lots of support at the end and places to grab a post run coffee.

Great course, lovely atmosphere, stunning scenery, perfect weather. Really enjoyed myself out there, the perfect training run for my upcoming marathon. I'll be back...
4.7Did the Half Marathon in 2022
Great course, amazing scenery. The start is congested so you have to start slow as you can’t pass people if not at the front. The biggest disappointment is a lack of medal. Trying something new in getting a coaster is good, but I like a medal to add to the collection, so not having one was really disappointing.

Such a stunning course with amazing views of the sea. The run also goes past a castle. Really well ran event and very friendly atmosphere. Would recommend!

The organisers had to battle with the storm forecasts and consequently changed the route just 24 hours before the start. It was certainly more challenging than I had expected but really pleased they avoided a potential cancellation of the event.

I had never done a half marathon before but I was made to feel very welcome from registration to running over the finish line. The whole event was well organized and the course was amazing. The views were incredible and the support from local spectators was immense and I look forward to doing this event again soon

Is there any possibility of obtaining a 10k place if someone drops out on the day or beforehand? Thanks Pete
Hi there. The best think to do would be to contact the event organiser to see whether they have a waiting list - T: 01248 723553. Best of luck!
On the race day I see it says you can’t wear headphones why not?
Hello, would love some info on best places for spectators / family to views the race & info on how difficult, or not, it is for them to get around
Hi there. The best places to watch are here - In Beaumaris on the green - spectators will see their loved ones twice On the Menai Suspension bridge by the Tafarn y Bont pub - spectators can see their loved ones start then head down to the finish line. The pub will be open Teas, Coffees, and bacon rolls too :-) The finish line at When Car Park - spectators will see their loved ones twice. There are many other places along the route but these are particularly nice spots Hope this helps
