The course takes you around Newcastle's Exhibition Park, which boasts a historic Victorian Bandstand as well as a picturesque Boating Lake.
The course will be clearly indicated, with distance markers throughout. There will also be marshals stationed around the route to direct and encourage runners.
This race aims to raise money for Shelter, whose mission is to help solve the current housing crisis in the UK. Every day, 110 families in England become homeless and Shelter is working tirelessly to help solve this growing issue.
Fundraising is completely optional and there is no minimum target. Any money raised - big or small - will be deeply appreciated.

There is parking available within Exhibition Park, however, the spaces are limited so if you are running with friends and/or family, then please car-share where possible.

10:00 5k & 10k races begin
Please arrive with plenty of time to register and warm-up. This minimises stress for you and makes your experience that more enjoyable.
You must collect your race pack on the day of the event at the registration desk. Your race pack will not be posted to you prior to the event.
The toilets are located within the event hub. To avoid long queues, use these facilities with plenty of time.
There will be a designated area for participants to leave their belonging, however space is limited so the organiser asks that you travel as light as possible.
You can get instant timed results on the screen at the finish line. These results will also be posted on the organiser's website after the event.

Fix Events have over a decades worth of experience within the endurance events space, and organise over 70 events per year, varying from running to triathlons to charity events. Their events are well-known for their friendly atmosphere, which makes them great for participants of all abilities and they’re also hosted throughout all of the UK’s major cities - making them easily accessible to everyone. On top of their staple events calendar, the Fix have partnered with charities such as the Movember Foundation, where they delivered over 20 MoRuns throughout the month to thousands of runners.
Spectators are strongly encouraged to come along to Exhibition Park and support the runners.
The looped nature of the event makes it fantastic for those wishing to cheer on the athletes.

On-the-day registration is subject to availability. Please refer to the website on the days leading up to the race to see if it is sold out.
When do I receive my race pack for The Newcastle 5k and 10k Winter Warmer Run?
Race numbers and details will be emailed to entrants. However, race packs themselves must be collected on the day of the event.
Am I able to enter a team for The Newcastle 5k and 10k Winter Warmer Run?
Team entries are allowed; each person will still receive their own time and teams do not have to run together. However, it is always a good bit of fun to have a team name and race with friends or family.
Good for beginners
A good day was spoiled because I am still waiting for my time for the 5K and that was a day and a half ago? That was why I entered.

Garmin measured 10.2km. Would do it again. Little bit tight for the first 1km til the field spread out. Good organisation. Plenty toilets etc.

Windy course as it's out in the open. Good for personal best times . Starting times managed well so fast paced runners don't get trapped behind slower paced runners
