Event summary

Now in its 6th year, The Ridge Off Roader is a challenging mixed terrain, mainly off road race. Given the date, we are likely to have more mud than our usual April date, but the stunning countryside and hills will be the same! We look forward to welcoming you to Bledlow Ridge (HP14 4AZ) The race HQ and nearby parking is a short drive from Junctions 4, 5 and 6 of the M40. The race takes place in The Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty.

How to get there

Get directionsExternalLink

Travelling by Train – The nearest train station is Saunderton just a few miles from Bledlow Ridge. Either pre-book a taxi or even run it as a warm up if you are really keen!

Travelling by Car – The address for the car park area is Chinnor Road, Bledlow Ridge HP14 4AW – we recommend using this postcode in your SatNav.  This will take you very close to the official car park, and marshals will direct you from there.  We recommend arriving at the car park by 8.45am and no later than 9.15am in order to get to Race HQ in good time.  Race HQ is a 5-10 minute walk from the car park, at Bledlow Ridge School, Church Lane, Bledlow Ridge, Bucks HP14 4AZ.

Car Parking (car parks open at 0745)- There will be two official car parks on private land for the race, with space for several hundred competitors’ cars at no charge.  Both are on the main road through Bledlow Ridge. One is located in the field adjacent to ‘The Boot Pub’ (HP14 4AW), and the other is at the Cricket Club (HP14 4AB) and will be clearly signposted and marshaled.  Please do not park your car anywhere except the official car parks.  Bledlow Ridge is a small village and there is no on-road parking available for competitors. Please park sensibly and ensure you lock your car as we can take no responsibility for any loss or damage to your car or belongings. Please note that both car parks are a 500 metre walk from the HQ so please allow plenty of time.
