Run along the dramatic Pembrokeshire Coast National Park in this one of a kind marathon perfect for all levels. You don't need to worry about traffic or beeping horns as the route will be closed just for runners. Best yet, you'll be treated like a star with the events' infamous red carpet finish and cheering crowds!

Course Details

Starting in Tudor Square Tenby, both undulating marathons then take you out towards stunning scenery offered up by Pembrokeshire. You’ll be able to feel the sea breeze and take in the spectacular Pembroke Coast National Park along the route.

The route travels anticlockwise and leads up to an epic red carpet finish where you’ll be inundated with cheering from the crowds to get you through those final few metres!

As all the roads are closed along both the Half Marathon and Marathon route, it’s the perfect event for first timers and more experienced runners alike.

Please note that there is a cut off time for completing either one of the Marathons. This is 4pm on Sunday. Anyone still on the course at this time will be withdrawn.

Raceday Logistics

Registration is available on Thursday, Friday and Saturday as well as the race day itself, Sunday.

You MUST bring ID wih you and sign a registration disclaimer in order to check in and compete.

The Marathon starts at 10am on Sunday at Tudor Square, Tenby.

The Half Marathon starts at 12pm on Sunday at Tudor Square, Tenby.

By Car

As the marathon is taking place on closed roads, there will of course be a number of roads that will be disrupted and there may well be delays. As such please allow additional time to reach the event.

There are a number of paid car parking facilities across Tenby town centre, just a short walk from the start line.

By Train

Tenby Train Station is just a short 5 minute walk to the start line, Tudor Square.

Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way to get involved and be a part of the electric Wales Marathon atmosphere! There are so many ways that you can help out, whether that be pre or post event or during the race.

You can guarantee that your support won’t go unnoticed by the athletes on the day!

As way of thank you, you will be gifted a volunteer event T-Shirt and provided with a complimentary packed lunch and drink for all your hard work.

FAQs

Is there an age limit?

Yes, participants must be 18 years and above in order to compete in the marathon.

Additional facilities

There will be a sports masseuse available for post race treatment at the finish line. 15 minute or 30 minute sessions are available.

There is also a bag drop area located at St Jones Church, Tenby

Results

Official results will be displayed on the event organiser website after the event so don't forget to check there to see how you or friends and family members have done.

    Well organised, great atmosphere and support in the towns and around the course, plenty of water and feed stations however I was glad I had my own supply to supplement.

    Loved every discipline! If I have to moan, the swim needs a better system! To many at marker bouy needs spreading apart somehow! Different categories at different time slots?

    Hey there, just to let you know that the Marathon and the Half Marathon both start from Tudor Square, just two hours apart with the half marathon starting at 12.
