Racing on a weekday evening is so great! This event was really well organized with loads of super helpful and supportive volunteers and marshals. The course is three laps of Victoria Park, so not the most exciting, but it's flat and quick and good for setting PBs! Loads of delicious snacks at the end, including some homemade flapjacks. Would highly recommend this event.… read more

This was great fun and opened my eyes to mid-week races! There where all abilities taking part and some very good runners so there really was a competitive fun element for everyone. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to take part in a 10K as its a great spot and well organised. … read more

First time Ive done an evening race and really enjoyed it. As with all RunThrough events it was extremely efficiently run. The 10k did start a few minutes late but that didnt impact on anyones enjoyment. The volunteers were super friendly including the amazing woman who was cheering with her tambourine the WHOLE way around. The 3 laps isnt the most exciting course but its very flat and uninterrupted. Excellent way to spend an evening. … read more

Route description

The wide and flat paths of Victoria Park are the perfect venue for runners of all abilities to challenge themselves in RunThrough's Victoria Park 5K, 10K or Half Marathon. Whether you are chasing a PB, or just looking for a new way to explore the picturesque park, this is a perfect event for you.

The course will be run on the roads and paths within the park, and will be a looped course:

  • 5K: 1.5 laps
  • 10K: 3 laps
  • Half Marathon: 6 laps (and a bit)

Please be aware that there WILL be pedestrians, so please keep a lookout for pedestrians, cyclists and dogs. There will be marshals around the course and signs but this is not a closed-road race, so you have to pay very close attention to where you are going. Because of this, headphones are not recommended.

Awesome race! Such a great way to round out a Wednesday. RunThrough do a great job of creating real atmosphere at their events. Everyone was very friendly and encouraging including the fantastic marshals, and the weather just about held up! Got a cheeky pb too.

Very well organised event with all the key amenities (bag drop, loos, water/aid stations). I'm not a fan of looped courses but this one was a great route. The homemade flapjacks at the finish line were an added bonus!
