Route description
Route description

This beautiful 13.1 mile trail run is a point to point race starting at Hooting Train Station, and traveling along the old Wirral Way Railway Line.

The trail can be narrow and muddy at times, and with a couple undulations, it promises to be the perfect introductory trail run for those looking to tackle a new challenge.

Runners will be treated to incredible views of Wales over the Dee Estuary, and experience the history and rural beauty of the countryside along the way.

The route will be point to point up until 9.5 miles where you pass the finish line. From there, you will run a 3.6 mile out and back section featuring a turnaround loop at Cubbins Green before cruising over the finish line in Wirral Country Park.

Logistics and schedule

Your race number with chip and any other final instructions will be posted out 7-10 days before the event.

There will be a help desk & late bib pickup at the finish line in Wirral Country Park, from which a coach service will take you to the start line.

Schedule:

07:00 - Help desk at finish line in Wirral Country Park opens for late bib pickup and help desk.

08:00: Coach service begins running

09:00: Help desk at finish line closes

Coach Service:

Coach services will be running from both ways from start to finish and vice versa from 08:00 to 14:00. The coach will cost £5 and can be booked at entry.

Feed Stations:

There will be 4 feed stations along the route at 3.6 miles, 7.3 miles, 9.5 miles, and 11.5 miles. They will be stocked with cupped water/electrolytes and sweets.

Due to the staggered start times, results will be based on CHIP TIMING ONLY.
