Held on Saturday, April 3rd, 2027, this legendary race introduces two new distances, an 8K or the Louie Dash for kids, and a triumphant finish—on the 50-yard line at L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium. It’s a bold, scenic course that celebrates Louisville’s running community and rewards every step with energy, excitement, and a finish line like no other.

Route information

The University of Louisville 10 Mile® & 8K start outside of historic Churchill Downs and both races feature a tree-lined out-and-back section along Southern Parkway, a trip through the Beechmont Neighborhood where the 8K will turn around and the 10 Mile will continue on to complete a loop through Iroquois Park. Both races wrap up inside L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium with a legendary on-field finish!

Packet Pickup:

Parking for packet pickup is located in the L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium Bronze Lot J. Participants will enter Gate 6 and take the elevator to the Angel’s Envy Bourbon Club.

Race Day

Parking for all event participants, spectators, and volunteers is located in the L&N Federal Credit Union Stadium Purple Lot A & B. This is approximately ¼ mile from the Start Line. There is no race day parking in the Bronze Lot J or at Churchill Downs.

NOTE: In order to prepare the start line area for the race, road closures on Central Avenue between Taylor and 4th Street will begin at 3:00 AM.

Starting Line location:The 10 Mile and 8K start line is located at S 4th Street & Central Avenue - just a few steps away from Churchill Downs. There is no event parking at Churchill Downs.
