Enjoy a scenic run along the beautiful Pacific Beach. Great for all runners, the course is a flat race along the sand and then back along the boardwalk. Come for the finisher’s medal, free running top or the hula dancers.

Aloha Run – San Diego routes

The Aloha Run courses follow a scenic bayside route, filled with music, entertainment and Aloha spirit. Runners loop down the beach-side path, along the boardwalk before turning around and heading back into the finish line.

There will be plenty of festivities for everyone to enjoy, so bring your family and friends and head to the luau.

6:00 a.m. – Registration/packet pick-up opens

7:15 a.m. – 10K run/walk starts

8:00 a.m. – 5K run starts (runners only)

8:30 a.m. – 5K run/walk starts (runners and walkers)

7:30 – 10:30 a.m. – Live Music and surprise entertainment at the Finish Festival

Spectators are encouraged to get down to the beach and cheer on their family and friends at this awesome event.


The Aloha Run 5k & 10k needs amazing volunteers to assist with water stations, registration, pre-race check in, stuffing goodie bags, festival area set-up & break-down, cheering the runners on, and more.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my stroller to the Aloha Run San Diego?
Yes this is a stroller friendly race. Children under the age of 3 in a stroller do not need to register for the race. However, if you would like the child in a stroller to receive a bib, medal and Aloha hat, please contact [email protected] for special stroller-registration.
Can I bring my dog to the Aloha Run San Diego?
Yes dogs are allowed in the San Diego Aloha Run.
Is there an age limit for the Aloha Run San Diego?
Nope - The Aloha Run is for all ages.
Is there a time limit for the Aloha Run San Diego?
Nope - take your time.
What if it rains at the Aloha Run San Diego?
The Aloha Run will take place rain or shine. However, if conditions are determined by city officials to be unsafe, the race will be rescheduled. No refunds will be made.
Can I switch my race?
Yes you can switch distance for a $10 fee plus any difference in registration fees. If you are transferring down in distance there is no refund. Please submit all transfer requests please e-mail: [email protected]
Does everyone get a finisher's medal at the Aloha Run San Diego?
Yes, all participants will receive a finisher medal at the finish line. Kids in stroller will receive a medal only if they are registered and wearing a bib.

    I truly enjoyed this 5k, it was well organized, supported and super fun! It was a great late-day event for my husband and I! I would highly recommend it!
