Route information
The Big Sur race will take you up the Old Coast Road, offering amazing views. This course will be rather challenging - making the great views even more rewarding.
Course Markings
The course will be marked with orange ribbons. The 5 milers will turn at the first aid station. Half Marathoners and Marathoners will continue along the Old Coast Road. Half Marathoners will turn around at the second aid station. Marathoners will do another out and back before returning to the finish line.

Parking is limited at Andrew Molera State Park, please carpool if possible. There is a park entry fee of $10/car.
Hotels
The nearest affordable hotels are in the Carmel and Monterey areas. We do not have a specific recommendation, but we do recommend that you book early as other events take place in these areas in the fall and hotels can get booked up. It's about a 45-minute drive from Monterey to the race start.

Athlete check-in
If you have already received your bib number you will not have to check in. If you haven't received your bib number you will be able to pick it up at the registration area, located in the picnic Area of the Andrew Molera State Park.
If you would like to change your race distance you will be able to at the athlete check-in.
Aid Stations
There will be aid stations at the following mile marks along the course: 2.5, 6.5, 10.5, 15.8, 19.7, and 23.7. It is recommended to bring your own water to carry. There will be portable restrooms adjacent to each aid station.

When does the Big Sur Trail Marathon, Half Marathon & 5 Mile start?
The event will start at 9:00am, if you would like to change your distance or need to pick up you race pack from check-in then please head to the picnic Area of the Andrew Molera State Park between 8:00am and 8:50am on the day of the race.
Is there parking available at the Big Sur Trail Marathon, Half Marathon & 5 Mile?
Yes, there will be parking available at Andrew Molera State Park, please carpool if possible as spaces are limited. There is a park entry fee of $10/car.
