Roll out of bed and kick-start your Sunday with a 5k, 10k, or Kids-K race. Perfect for runners of all abilities, the course loops around the iconic 'Cardiff Kook' statue and runs above some of the world's most popular surf breaks. Come for the epic beach views or for the treasured finisher's medal.

Kicking-off from the famous 'Encinitas' sign on Coast HWY 101, the picturesque looped route then runs adjacent to the Pacific Ocean and passed the iconic 'Cardiff Kook' Statue. From here, you will look down upon some of the world's best surfing areas, before heading down to So. Cardiff State Beach.
There truly is no better way to start your Sunday than running alongside the Pacific Ocean with wind in your hair and friends by your side. With a choice of three distance this event is great for novices and seasoned pros alike.
Please ensure you arrive at least 45 minutes before your race start to ensure their is plenty of time for registration and a sufficient warm-up.
The organiser's strongly encourage participants to collect race packets in advance, as the event will be quite crowded on the day. Details of these collection periods can be found below:

If you wish to take part in the Costume Contest then you must register at the registration table before 7am. Normal running gear is, of course, not considered a costume, so please be as inventive as possible!
The costume awards ceremony will take place after the 10k, with cash prizes for the top 3.
1st - $250
2nd - $150 3rd - $100
Spectators are more than encouraged to come along and cheer on the runners. After the race, stick around for the awards ceremony before treating your friends or family who took part to a hearty meal.
