Starting and finishing at Snow Park these fun and fast routes will take you through the very best of Oakland. Soak in all the city has to offer from the steps of City Hall and Jack London Square to Uptown and Lake Merritt.
Choose one of three distances or, if you're feeling like a real challenge, sign up to the joint Half Marathon & 5k Oaktown Challenge option!
The Kid's Race will be done in age categories, as follows:
- 2-3 Year-olds will run 100 yards
- 4-5 Year-olds will run 200 yards
- 6-8 year-olds will run 300 yards

There will be plenty of street parking available on the day.
Public Transport
5k runners can arrive at Bart station (12th Street, Oakland City Center), which is located directly underneath the festival venue. However, this will not be possible for the Half Marathons 7am start.

Packet Pickup
There are two packet pickup options, please select an option when you register.
- Pick at up at the pre race expo on Thursday 8, September
- Pick it up on race day for an additional $25 - 9/9
*Exact times and locations will be confirmed closer to the event date.
Cut-off Time
Please note that there is a 3 hour cut-off time for the Half Marathon, meaning all runners in this race must complete it by 10am. To do this, you must run at a 14min/mile pace minimum.
Age Requirements
There are no age restrictions for the HM, 5k and Oaktown Challenge. However, participants need to be 18+ needs to register. Minors will need a parent or guardian to register.
Spectator Info
All spectators are welcome and encouraged! Please come out and show as much support as you can for the event and for the runners.

Are baby strollers permitted at the Oaktown Half Marathon, 5k & Kid's Race?
Strollers are allowed at this event. However, please ensure that you start at the back and stick to the right when on-course, so that runners can pass by easily.
Are there refreshment stations on the Oaktown Half Marathon, 5k & Kid's Race?
The Half Marathon will have aid stations approximately every 2 miles - 6 in total. The 5k will have an aid station at mile 1.5. Aid stations are stocked with water, nuun sports drink. There will be portable toilets every other mile.
Are bikes, scooters, skateboards, push bikes allowed on the Oaktown Half Marathon, 5k & Kid's Race?
Due to safety concerns, only baby strollers/joggers and wheelchairs are allowed on the course.
