Founded in 2009 by Cindy Ortiz Chaconas after her own diagnosis at 28, our event is not just a race—it's a community rallying together to save lives through early detection.

This year marks the 16th anniversary of our heartfelt mission, and the growth is staggering—from 800 runners in 2009 and $20,000 raised, to 2,900 participants and $50,000 in 2019. Every donation fuels our commitment to help the uninsured and underinsured, with over $350,000 spent on lifesaving breast imaging services locally.
