Race to the Rock - 5K Run

Get ready to elevate your run game — literally! Join us for a thrilling race that begins at the scenic Best View Motel, taking you through a breathtaking ascent into Chimney Rock State Park. Challenge yourself as you wind up the switchbacks to a rewarding finish at the base of Chimney Rock, greeted by a spectacular 75-mile view across Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure. After celebrating your accomplishment and enjoying the award ceremony, take note that a temporary leave from the mountain is required but don't worry — you can return to bask in the glory of the park, free of charge, once it reopens. Remember, the trails will be waiting for you, as they reopen with the park.
