The AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run is back on Saturday 17 May 2025 and entries are open!
Get the whole family involved in next year’s AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Manchester Run, where our youngest runners (3-8) take on a fun and frenzied 1.6km dash, whilst our junior runners (9-15) take on a 2.5km supercharged sprint.
Come along and experience this fun running party at the Etihad Campus. It’s an incredible event held the day before the iconic AJ Bell Great Manchester Run that allows the younger runners to take centre stage with fancy dress, high-fives, lots of local support from the Manchester crowd, and a medal at the finish line.

Junior Race Distance: approx 2.5k Ages: 9 to 15
Mini Race Distance: approx 1.5k Ages: 3 to 8
This year, both Mini and Junior routes will Start and Finish in the Manchester Regional Arena with an exciting route around the Etihad Stadium.
There will be encouragement throughout, a medal and goodies at the finish and that finish line feeling we all know and love. These wonderful races will inspire a budding athlete in your little ones and a life long love of being active.
Children will get a medal they can show off to their friends, a t-shirt to take part in and edible treats when they cross the finish line!
Adult Assistance
Children in the Mini Race must be accompanied by an adult, and each child must be registered in the race.
Adults do not have to run with children in the Junior Race, but they can if they wish - you can select this option at checkout.
