Route description
Route description

This fast course starts from the iconic Chester Racecourse and heads north-west out of the City along wide roads allowing runners to rapidly settle into race pace, then passing close to the picturesque village of Mollington, before returning to the heart of Chester City centre passing the historic Victorian town hall and Medieval Cathedral, before finishing on Eastgate Street with a spectacular backdrop of the Eastgate Clock.

From booking my place on the 10k race to picking up my medal and T-shirt, I found everything about my experience a good one. Lots of communication through emails from Andy and Chris, details about the race, training runs etc. The course is a good one, taking you out of the city to the quaint village of Mollington, plenty of people out to give you encouragement and looping back on the same track, gives you the opportunity to encourage your fellow runners too on the way back. All in all a great experience and one I will take up again, I even hit a new PB....which rounded the day perfectly. Recommended .....time to book the Chester half marathon now

This 10k was really well organised, its an out and back race with very few hills apart from the last 2k which is a uphill finish (quite demanding) great support from the spectators all the way around!!

This race is brilliant. Everybody enjoyed it. My advice is to look at the elevation chart and plan your race accordingly
