FAQs
Will there be a bag drop at the Christmas Canter?
There will be a space for baggage to be left (subject to COVID restrictions being lifted) but these are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables.
ChevronLeft
Do I need to wear trail running shoes at the Christmas Canter?
Normal running trainers should be plenty for this event. If there has been wet weather trail shoes may be helpful, but running trainers should still be fine.
ChevronLeft
Will there be a food and drink station at the Christmas Canter?
Yes there will be an aid station supplying water and sugary snacks at the event Base Camp situated at the lap point of the 5.3k course.

Good location and course.A lot of snow still on the ground, which added to the occasion, along with those if us in fancy dress. The snag with the snow was a problem getting into the parking area. But parking found, start delayed to accommodate the issues everyone having, and marshalls did shuttle runs to ferry those racing.

Challenging cold and snowy conditions but everyone was very very friendly. Shame neither the venue owners or the organisers had gritted the entrance road, which delayed the start. The weather has been consistent all week, so it’s not like the access problems would have come as a surprise!

It was a good opportunity to race late in December. Beautiful scenery-up & back route with 2 long, steady hills. Unfortunate the frost meant most cars could not get in the venue parking area & ended up leaving vehicles over a mile away. Race Director kindly ferried people to the start.

Friendly & inclusive - has a great community rather than corporate feel to the event. Also really top coffee and cake.

An excellent organised event at Hinchingbrooke Country Park with Zig Zag events. This one saw around a hundred Santa's and Elves take to the 3.3 mile course. Stephen, Zoe and the team are always welcoming to new runners and created a lovely Christmassy atmosphere. The course is great, varied with trail through the trees and paths around the lake. In some small parts it was super muddy but this was part of the challenge. Lovely support all round from the marshals, plenty of pictures taken, post run cake, hot drink and a large warm events room awaited the finishers and supporters.

Well organised, good course with lovely scenery and awesome coffee and cakes afterwards! The medal was really good too and make the struggle worthwhile!
