Route information
Competitors will complete an out-and-back course through the Denham Flats. The course itself will be over mixed terrain. You will have 6 hours to knock over as many kilometres as possible.
But don't be alarmed by this long time limit, this event is for runners of all abilities. This could be a great opportunity to run your first 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon or even Ultra Marathon. You can run as few or as many laps as you wish, resting between laps or pushing yourself through the whole 6 hours.
For those more experienced athletes looking to really push themselves, this is a brilliant opportunity to run a long distance with no other complications, no navigation, no kit required and with feed stations every lap.
Whether you are looking to run your 1st 10k, or your 50th Marathon, the brilliant Zig Zag Running team will cheer you all the way around.

There will be free parking available on site. The parking fee is included in the cost of entry.

Waves
Participants have the choice to start their race at 9 am or 11 am. Please note that both waves will end at 3pm, meaning those in the second wave will have a shorter time limit than those in the first wave.
Race Information
You will receive a confirmation email upon entering the race which contains your race briefing pack.
You will collect your bib number on the day when you register at the event base camp, which is located at Suffolk Running Centre.
Age Restrictions
You must be at least 18 years old to take part.
Race Start
10 minutes before your wave start the race director will call participants together for a race briefing before you progress to the start line for a mass start.
Lucky Dip Medal
The lucky dip medal gives runners a chance of receiving a previous Zig Zag Events medal for a slightly reduced cost. This can be chosen when registering and ensures a little surprise on event day.
Cupless Event
Please note the event has gone cupless, so please bring your own water bottle to the event.
FAQs
Will there be a bag drop at the Christmas Canter?
No, but you will be a very short distance from your cars - so it is suggested that personal items remain in the part cars.

Do I need to wear trail running shoes at the Christmas Canter?
Normal running trainers should be plenty for this event. If there has been wet weather trail shoes may be helpful, but running trainers should still be fine.

Will there be a food and drink station at the Christmas Canter?
Yes there will be an aid station supplying water and sugary snacks at the event Base Camp situated at the lap point of the 10k loop.
