Country to Capital Ultra 43 route

The country to capital ultra is widely regarded as the opening event of the Ultra calendar. Beginning at the Shoulder of Mutton in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, the course will wind through the picturesque countryside before picking up the Grand Union Canal and making its way along the final stretch into little Venice.

Given the nature of the race, there are a number of cut-off times which are detailed below:

Checkpoint 3, Cowley Peach (26.5 miles) - 7 hour cut off
Checkpoint 4, Greenford (33.2 miles) - 8.5 hour cut off
Checkpoint 5, Sainsbury's Tow Path (37.3 miles) - 9.5 hour cut off
Finish, Floating Boater (43 miles) - 11 hour cut off

0700: Registration opens
0845: Race begins
1415:
CP 2 cut-off time
1545: CP 3 cut-off time
1715: CP 4 cut-off time
1815: CP 5 cut-off time
1945: All runners must have finished

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race to allow plenty of time to complete the registration process.

Given the physically challenging nature of an Ultra marathon, participants must be at least 18 years old.
Can I hire a tracker?

    Good route and a great season opener. May not be as muddy this year but once you get from the Chilterns to the M25 its canal all the way which may or may not suit some and be sure not to wear pure Trail shoes if it has been relatively dry!. Clearly marked route, aid stations okay and a pub at the end at Paddington with Guinness FTW.
