Elevation: Undulating
Runners will take a challenging course through the beautiful bluebell woods. There be plenty of mud and hills to contend with, but the grounds and collection of bluebells will make up for it. This is a completely traffic-free course making it perfect to enjoy the bluebells as you run.
This will be a 6.7 mile lapped course.
Though it will be challenging, this course is suitable for both experienced and new trail runners alike.

There will be free parking at Temple Newsam.
By Car
From the M1, take junction 46 for Temple Newsam.
By Public Transport
Bus routes 19 and 19A run to Whitkirk which is just 1 mile from Temple Newsam. Cross Gates train station is 1.9 miles away which is about a 35 minute walk.

Race HQ will be at Temple Newsam. This is where you'll pick up your race number and can ask any questions.
Age Requirements
  • 6.7 Mile: All runners must be 16 or older on the day of the event
  • Half Marathon, 20 miler and Marathon: All runners must be 18 or older on the day of the event
  • Ultra: All runners must be 21 or older on the day of the event
Cut-off time
There is a cut of time of 6hours 30minutes for all participants taking part in the marathon.
Cupless Event
The organiser are reducing their environmental impact and will not be handing out cups. Please bring your own receptacle with you on race day!

I love grim up north runs the atmosphere is always good and the team of grimmers are so friendly. Temple newsome is amazing , the scenery, just everything about it and the weather was fab

The route was tough but very beautiful. The staff were all so friendly. The cake after was delicious. I will definitely be doing it again next year!
