Known for the friendly welcome, traffic free roads and scenic course, the Basingstoke Half and 10k is a ‘must do’ event. A challenging, but rewarding route, you will be treated to fantastic views of the Hampshire countryside. With kids races too, there's something for the whole family.

Route information
The Half Marathon and 10k start on land next to the Crossborough Hill car park in Basingstoke. While the road race starts in the town, most of the route is on traffic-free minor roads through undulating countryside. Subject to the usual road closure approvals, all roads on the route will be closed for the duration of the event on race day.
The course is a challenging but exhilarating and rewarding one, incorporating some some legendary hills near Cliddesden and Farleigh Wallop, beautiful countryside and quaint villages.
Before the excitement of the 10k and half marathon, there will be two children's races. These will be a lovely flat 1 mile run, split into age categories.

Age Requirements
Children's Race: 5-10 years and 11-15 years
10k: 16 years or over
Half Marathon: 17 years or over
Anyone one under the age of 18 years old will need a parent/guardian to register for them and sign the waiver.
Kids Races
There will be two free one-mile kids races taking place before the half marathon and 10k. One race is for 5-10 year olds and the other for 11-15 year olds. Parents can run with their children if they wish to. Please note a parent/guardian is required to register the individual taking part.
