Great Barrow Challenge - Day 1

Its 10 days of opportunity to challenge yourself! - This is an INDIVIDUAL DAY ENTRY.

Whether it be 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or Ultra Marathon.

Over the 10 days there will be different routes: *

THIS ENTRY IS FOR DAY ONE AND THE ROUTE IS DENHAM FLATS

Route description - Denham Flats

10.4 km (6.5 mi) · out-and-back from the campsite · 100% road · just 22 m of climb · high 107 m / low 89 m.

Comfortably the flattest route out from the Suffolk Running Centre. You head out on quiet lanes to a turnaround at around 5.2 km, then retrace your steps home. There's the gentlest of rises on the way out — barely noticeable, spread over the whole leg — which means it tips very slightly downhill on the way back. No hills, no surprises, no gradient to fight.

Those completing a 10k will complete one loop

Those completing a half marathon will complete two loops

Those completing a full mararhon will complete four loops

Those completing an ultra will complete either four loops plus 5k turnpoint or five full loops

Those completing a 5k will head out to a 5k turnpoint and then retrace their steps back to the Suffolk Running Centre

Day 8 - Mill Wind - (half route)*

Day 9 - Gallops - (half route)*

Day 10 - Hargrave (Half route)*, Mount Barrow (for 5k and 10k participants)

Parking is also included in your entry price. 

The Race HQ/Base Camp is located at the start and Lap point and at the base camp we will have our water/aid station.

We have designed Bespoke medals for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race each day. 

Please note the event has gone cupless - so please bring your own bottles or cups for refilling.

No dogs or buggies are allowed on this route due to the roads being open for traffic.

No headphones are permitted except bone conductors due to the open roads.
