Great to be there! The atmosphere was amazingWill do again next year. Perhaps some more goodies in the bag at the end would be good, such as some fruit?

good course, for a fast ten-miler. I ran this with friends for a good cause and didn't go for any PB. It is a pricey event, but you can get 25% off early bird, but you have to be quick! Support on course is good and great atmosphere.

I have done the Great south three times. I love this race and would recommend it. My children have also done the junior race on the Saturday. Hotels are great. We stay at the holiday Inn, and I can leave my car in their car park until I have finished my run on the Sunday. Lovely run, lovey views.

I run in the 1990 first Great South in Southampton after which the event came and remained in Portsmouth. Since then I marked notable birthdays e.g. 60th & 65th. The course scenery, location and atmosphere is spectacular. If travelling to the event I would recommend having a long weekend & making the most of the location. Good event for accompanying non runners.

An awesome event with such history - amazing to see people who have run every single year still doing the full 10 miles! The course is fantastic and the event really well organised from start to finish - loads of entertainment points, booming tunes, cheer zones and tonnes of support. Add this one to your calendar or bucket list!

I love this event. It is one of my annual races now. The route is flat wirh a nice sea view at the start and end of the course. There is plenty on offer at the race village with plenty of refreshments stalls and post race massage. The volunteers are very helpful in helping you find your way around.

The event has a great atmosphere along the whole route. It’s a flat route so perfect for PBs and running through the dockyard is amazing. Parking is available on the common and the Park and Ride can be a bit hit and miss, but that aside, it’s an annual challenge for me and my husband, and now our 3 year old will be joining this year for the Mini.
