Route information
This 5k is set in the historic market town of Hitchin in North Hertfordshire. Taking place on roads and with little elevation, this is the perfect race if you're looking to achieve a new PB. The route takes participants through the town centre, allowing them to glimpse sights such as the high street, the market square, the River Hiz and Cooper's Yard.
The course consists of two 2.5k laps and will be fully marked and marshalled. Beginning on the High Street, the course weaves across the river and heads up past Windmill Hill, before looping around onto Payne's Park, past Cooper's Yard, and down towards the starting point.

Hitchin lies just off the A1 between Stevenage and Letchworth Garden City.
Parking
There are a number of car parks in the area around the Market Square. Please be aware that parking is usually limited so please consider car sharing or using public transport.
There are car parks at Queen Street, Portmill Lane, at the Queen Mother Theatre and on Hollow Lane. Please do not park along the race route.
By Public Transport
Hitchin Station is a 20-minute walk from the race start. Services run between Hitchin and Horsham, Letchworth Garden City, Peterborough, Brighton, London King's Cross and Cambridge.
