Route information
The Kingley Vale Trail Run returns for 2024, offering both Half Marathon and 10k distances.
Beginning and finishing at the glorious Goodwood Racecourse, this ultimate trail run takes place in the heart of South Downs National Park and will showcase the natural splendor and beauty of this very special area. You should expect wonderful views over the South Downs, Chichester Harbour and to the Isle of Wight.
The well-crafted off-road routes will guide you from Goodwood Racecourse to Kingley Vale and back via a looped course. The beauty of Kingley Vale is unmatched, boosting one of Europe's most impressive 2,000 year old yew forests an abundance of wildlife and bronze age burial mounds. Kingley Vale is a jewel in the crown of the South Downs and yet one of the South’s best-kept secrets.
The trails include a mixture of wide gravel roads, bridleways, tarmac, grassland and single track tree-lined trails, which is sure to keep you motivated and interested throughout!
With two route distances to choose from (22k and 10k) there is a distance to cater for most abilities.
The event is timed and will have water station(s) on route to keep you hydrated.
