Very nice organisers and a good lapped course. No complaints. I'll be back.

Race with time trial feel with 5 km loop. Good atmosphere and well organized overall. Showers available on site.

This race, it is what it is, it's not the greatest setting ever and the course is repetitive and there's next to no atmosphere except from the marshals. This year I did the half and struggled, I was glad I was only doing the half and I don't know how I got through the marathon the previous year.To it's credit, it is well organised and obviously the organiser doesn't make a lot of money from it and is just putting it on purely to give people the opportunity to race. You do get a t-shirt and a medal at the end as well, but if it saved them a bit of money, I could go without the medal. There is also a selection of snacks (but I'm gluten intolerant so didn't want to risk it), as well as water on course, including electrolyte drink at the end of each lap and energy gels (but I brought my own). I would add though, that they should probably have a couple of bins up the road after each station as I ended up throwing my cup on the ground nearby, my gel wrap i managed to throw in a public bin.All in all though, it's a great opportunity to do a well organised marathon/half marathon or even ultra in the middle of summer for a very reasonable price. It is a flat course too, but yesterday it was quite breezy in places and warm with the sun, which probably cost me 2 or 3 more minutes (I hope). I think if you can cope with the mental challenge of doing laps with little atmosphere, then you should excel on this course. It's worth giving this type of race a go once, to see how you fare.

No atmosphere.More importantly I ended up running more than the required distance due to going the wrong way because the course set up was confusing. My ‘finishing time’ result is therefore invalid. 7th half marathon this year and by far least favourite
