Run through the stunningly scenic Regent's Park in the heart of London. Great for runners of all levels, the course is a loop inside the park and along the perimeter of ZSL London Zoo. Come for the finisher's medal or to catch a glimpse of a Giraffe as you run.

The Mornington Chasers, Regent's Park - 10K Series - December route

This event takes place in the ever popular Regent's Park in the heart of London.

The undulating course consists of 3-laps on tarmac or hard gravel pathway. In the past runners have been fortunate enough to see giraffes, camels and the odd big cat as they run past the Zoo. Other highlights include the Boating Lake, floral gardens and centuries-old statues.

This course is appropriate for all levels of runners but please always be vigilant of other runners, spectators, dogs, cyclists and other users of public footpaths and rights of way.

Schedule

08:00-08:45- Registration
09:00 - Race Start

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the race in order to collect your race number and timing chip and to drop your bag. Registration will take place at The Hub cafe.

Spectators

Spectators are more than welcome and this is a great event for families. Not only is there plenty to do in the park, but due to the looped nature of the course, spectators will be able to spot the runners on several occasions.

Can I run with a buggy?
This race is not suitable for runners with buggies/pushchairs.
Will there be Prizes?
Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners overall and the top runner in each of the veteran categories (V40/V50/V60/V70) for both males and females.
Are there toilets and changing facilities available?
There will be toilets available to use in The Hub but unfortunately there are no changing facilities at this event.
Will there be a bag drop?
There will be a bag drop available, but it is recommended you bring as little baggage as possible.
I am a wheelchair user. Can I compete?
This race is suitable for wheelchair users. You may be asked to start at the front of the field 5-10 minutes before the scheduled start time and be vigilant of other runners overtaking during the race.

    Undulating, I had run it before and did not have a great run, but that's more due to personal circumstances. I still find the start time too early and could do with it being at 9:30 or 10:00 am instead. Also, I do not particularly like 3 laps (very much prefer 1 or 2) but am aware that Regent's Park is not big enough for that. Otherwise, well organised. I did wonder why in the first lap we took a left turn different from the other laps, which made it marginally shorter than the other 2, when this was not the case years ago.
