Join us for our New Year's Day Run and our very first event of 2025! If you've overindulged during the Christmas period, and are looking to make some positive changes in 2025, then this is the Run for you. All abilities are welcome at this super-inclusive event and walkers are also welcome.

Route information
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run, we welcome runners of all abilities (and any walkers too!). The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 4.37 miles or 7km (this is subject to change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit which starts from the official event start time of 8:30am. It is 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 for a marathon and 7 or over for an ultra, we also have a 50km distance available.
The regular course is subject to some change near the time of the event depending on our health and safety review of the course.
The course along a beautiful stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. The course is mainly well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable all year round.

Aid Station
We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is an incredible selection of drinks and savoury or sweet snacks such as crisps, cheese, fruit and cookies with vegan options also available.
On Site Facilities
Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ. Bag drop is near the start and finish area.
Bag Drop
Runners should be aware the bag drop is not staffed and items are left at the sole responsibility of the participant. No liability for lost items will be accepted by the Organiser.
Medals & Pins
As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive one of our fantastic medals! We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement.
Special Event
If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 200th, 250th etc., half or full marathon then please let us know. You will receive a special running number with your name on it and the date of the event. Also, if it is your birthday run then again please let us know as we have a fabulous special birthday number for you too.
Race Day Instructions & Number Pick Up
Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 4-7 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event.
Other Information
There will be somewhere to leave a bag at the start / finish area. However, this is not a secure bag area and the items cannot be watched at all times so please do not leave anything valuable.
Places are strictly limited and event registration will close once these are sold out. The minimum age is 12 years old. If you would like to run with someone under 12 years of age, please contact us directly. We have two events running at the same time. The main event is a UKA Permitted event and is for all runners aged 18 or over. In addition, we have a non-UKA event for runners under the age of 18. Runners under the age of 18 will automatically be included in the non-UKA start list and this event will start 1 minute after the main event.
Headphones are allowed.
Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.
