Route information

The Bristol route is a 2 lap course which mostly follows the perimeter of The Downs. It is a fairly flat course with a mixed terrain which takes in amazing views of the Gorge and Suspension Bridge. There are lots of cheering points along the way and the whole event has a fantastic atmosphere which you'll really enjoy.

This year for the Race for Life 10k we will have a Park and Ride service in operation from Long Ashton Park and Ride car park in Bristol. This is situated just off the A370, please use the postcode BS3 2HB for your SatNav. Buses will run every 7-8 mins from the Park and Ride to the event on The Downs between 08:30 and 10:30. Buses will be returning to the car park up until 14:30 on Sunday afternoon.

Tickets are only £3.00 for a return journey and children under 16 travel free of charge. There are also options to purchase a day ticket and link up to the other bus networks on the day. Tickets are purchased on the bus on the day.

Parking on The Downs is not permitted. If you arrive early you may find spaces on the surrounding roads but be aware that road closures are in place on Stoke Road, Ladies Mile, Circular and Fountain Road for the event. Stewards will be there on the day to direct you. Please note there is limited disabled parking on Stoke Road.

Please utilise public transport: Clifton train station is a 10 minute walk from the venue which links to the main train station Temple Meads. Buses run up to The Downs from the town centre on Sundays. Please visit the First website for more details.
