My first big run. Great views etc just a pain that public were still using the same paths so that slowed people down and gave no overtaking space. Also due to the earlier wet weather there was a lot of surface water to avoid and again space would have helped. … read more

Was such a shame that the ‘party’ that was taking place out of one of the runners beach huts, before the finish line, blocked the finish line. You’d have thought they would have offered encouragement and cheers to those still running, failing that, keeping to the side so they could pass!!

I have participated in past years and will continue to do so. People are living longer and so it would not be unreasonable to have a veterans 80+ category. I would have been in it this year! However, I did come first in the 75+ group.

It was my first experience running the Rudolph run and it was a great event all round. Well organised and a great atmosphere. It was also lovely to have such great support from crowds and the public; especially when the weather/winds were not our friend haha. Highly recommend.

This was my first time doing this event and I really enjoyed it. The only negative for me was that we were told there would be a water station on the course and there was not. There was also a huge queue for water after the finish which was getting in the way of the finish line when we crossed it so we didn't bother waiting which isn't ideal after 5 miles.

I ran with my 1 year old in her buggy and aside from the volume of runners (which is to be expected!) it was a really good course and buggy friendly all the way! Brilliantly organised and my little one enjoyed her (my!) well earned mince pie at the end! Oh, not forgetting the really lovely medal!

Course flat so pretty fast for runners. Advertised as being next to Uncle Tom cabin (cafe), very disappointing that it was not open at all, so very poor for spectators waiting in the cold. Bring you own flasks of tea/coffee!

I wish I had known about downloading an app to pay for parking. There is only one pay & display machine which took far too long to queue and pay.

It was a fun and enjoyable event. The course was on pavement (only grassy if youre overtaking) and was flat too. It was wet and very windy so pack a rain jacket/top to wear under your festive costume. You get a mince pie at the end!!
