Runners will take a challenging course through the beautiful bluebell woods. There be plenty of mud and hills to contend with, but the grounds and collection of bluebells will make up for it. This is a completely traffic-free course making it perfect to enjoy the bluebells as you run.
This will be a 6.7 mile lapped course.

From the M1, take junction 46 for Temple Newsam.
By Public Transport
Bus routes 19 and 19A run to Whitkirk which is just 1 mile from Temple Newsam. Cross Gates train station is 1.9 miles away which is about a 35 minute walk.

Race HQ will be at Temple Newsam. This is where you'll pick up your race number and can ask any questions.

This event is only open to runners aged 18 or over.
Cut-off time
There is a cut of time of 6hours 30minutes for all participants taking part in the marathon.

Hi my first grim up north run , atmosphere was fantastic everyone so friendly ,yes a bit hilly but do what you can as I did . Surprised myself. Just go for it 👍😀😀

The finish was confusing as the instructions from the marshal at the top of the hill were different to the actual finish. Entry information stated that blue buffs would be given out to competitors, if there were any none were given to me or my friends.

It was a really good day well organised good scenery. It was my first run with you, I have done 10 k before but never like this. I found it a difficult course but really enjoyed it looking forward to the next one ! 😊

Fantastic marathon. Lovely course although busy due to other people / events going on at Temple Newsham.Very well marked, and the course Marshall’s were brilliant. Goodie bags a little disappointing if you don’t drink beer.
