It clearly says on the page advertising the race that it is an “almost completely flat route”….I can confirm that it is totally not flat! Lots of hills, some of which go on for over 1 km.Route is too narrow at the start. Would make sense to let the marathon runners go off first. Also confusion at the start with people getting t-shirts and collecting race numbers at the same time.Otherwise, very pretty route and Marshall’s were great

Fantastically organised event and great t-shirt. Highly recommend to anyone, especially those who enjoy countryside views.

Overall enjoyed the course but was congested at the beginning and struggled to get past slower runners until mile 2.

Well organised and marshaled. Great atmosphere at the start and in the park at 3miles/the end. Bit quiet outside of that but the marshals offered great encouragement, and there were plenty of them. Could've maybe done with it being clearer in the race village as to where the start was (maybe this led to the starting delay?). Quite tight for the first 1.5 miles - congested course. Could the Marathoners/Half-Marathoners start separately to ease congested? Beautiful scenery on course.

Ive run the Marathon and the half twice. Great route, the half is slightly uphill to 8 miles but it makes for a lovely downhill finish. T Shirt quality a great improvement this year, just not sure why they gave them out at the start as this caused big issues for those collecting race day numbers from the same place. First year I ran the half, GPS made everyones runs very slightly short of 13.1. This year, the turn around point was further up the road....and GPS made the distance well over 13.1...maybe somewhere in the middle next year or no one will ever get a PB! Overall, its one of my favourite events and I'd def take part again. Thank you.

The only minus point was that the start was delayed by 15 minutes; this is the second Nice Work event I have done this year that hasn’t started on time
