Route information
Embrace the hills at the Edinburgh Winter Warmer Run. This race will definitely get you warm as you traverse the circumference of Holyrood Park. The course is paved so buggies are ok and the course is accessible for wheelchairs. The 5k is one lap of the course, the 10k has a two-lap route and the half marathon consists of 4 laps of the course.
The Park is home to the infamous Arthur's Seat, after your run why not go exploring to see Edinburgh's amazing skyline? This park has even hosted the British University Cross-Country Championships, so come and join this race to feel at one with the history of running and to embrace the fantastic scenery.
The course is marshalled, with crew to provide support and encouragement if needed. As the course is on public land, ensure you stay on the left-hand side unless otherwise guided.

Parking is not available in the South Approach car park as that is where the medical staff will be positioned. There will also be off-street car parks available in the city too.
There are six park and rides in and near Edinburgh including Ingliston, Hermiston, Straiton, Sheriffhall, Newcraighall, and Ferrytoll.

Start Times
The race will start staggered to avoid too much congestion on the paths.
Age Restrictions
Children are allowed to take part in the 5k and 10k races, as long as they remain the responsibility of a parent/guardian throughout the event, and the parent/guardian is satisfied the child can confidently run the full distance unaccompanied. The parent/guardian must remain onsite throughout the race.
Cut-Off Times
There will be a cut-off time of 1.5 hours to complete the 5k/10k races and a cut-off time of 3 hours for the half marathon.
Race Packs
Race packs will be available from registration on the day of the event, you will be emailed before the event to confirm your race number.
Bag Drop
There will be a bag drop available but with only limited space so make sure to travel lightly.
Dogs
Runners are welcome to run with their dogs, however, they must keep them on a short lead/harness throughout.
Headphones
Runners are welcome to wear headphones whilst running but you must be able to hear the marshal's instructions.
