The Hadleigh Legacy 10k route

This is a challenging but hugely enjoyable off-road 10k using some of the MTB course, footpaths and trails set within the grounds of Hadleigh Castle and which proved such a tough test for the Olympians in the summer of 2012.

The course will be two laps of 5km and runners can expect tough inclines and declines on grass fields and footpaths. There are also a couple of short sections with rocks and boulders, as used in the Olympic MTB races, to provide an extra challenge.

A 10km not for the faint hearted. This one has everything and will really push you to your limits. What goes up must come down as they say. Plenty of hills of all gradients, grass, gravel, mud, rocks and even a little tunnel - this course has it all. Very well organised both on course and at the start/finish area. Cafe has fantastic post run hot chocolate

Hadleigh 10k is definitely a challenge due to its undulating looped course with some real tough steep slopes and slippery muddy areas but the atmosphere is great fun. Lots of encouraging marshals, supporters and fellow runners with the most beautiful views to focus on as you determinedly soldier through this tough 10k. A feeling of euphoria when you reach the end makes it all worthwhile!

A great course which is extremely tough for even the most hardened runner. So well organised and with the most supportive and animated Marshalls I have ever experienced in a race. A cracking atmosphere to boot. Bravo to all those involved. Can’t wait for next year :)

Extremely well organised and friendly event, Nice Work are one of the few chip timing organisations the have 5 yearly age graded groups and as a 66 year old participant I don’t have to compete against 40 year olds. The Legacy is an iconic event and hope Nice Work can continue to support this race. Already entered on day 1 for next year. Thank you Nice Work
